KM stands for KIT Metal which is basically the KIT version with more metal parts.

This is for advanced users who seek for Top of The Range performance, durability, ability to build & customize the rig to their high level of standard.

It is basically an unassembled D12 with metal gears for the gearbox and rear axle including metal drive shaft. Check out the exploded parts pics for more info.
