WPL RC Supports STEM Learning at Horndean Technology College, UK

We’re excited to share that WPL RC recently supported the extra-curricular RC car club at Horndean Technology College in the UK by sponsoring a set of our RC crawlers.

Just eight days after the order was processed, the cars arrived safely and ready for action. The school’s teacher shared their gratitude:

“Thank you – all arrived safe in super fast time – 8 days from the order being processed and fulfilled last Monday.

Thanks again WPL for supporting our extra-curricular club at Horndean Technology College in the UK. Students will continue to meet up after their school day to maintain and drive the club's crawlers over a purpose built classroom track. Hopefully sparking a lifelong interest in STEM, developing their teamwork and communication skills while having fun along the way!”

Inspiring the Next Generation

The RC club provides students with a unique opportunity to go beyond textbooks. By maintaining and driving their crawlers on a purpose-built classroom track, students learn practical skills in mechanics, electronics, and problem solving. At the same time, they develop valuable teamwork and communication skills.

We believe initiatives like this are a fantastic way to inspire young people—helping them discover a passion for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) while having fun.

WPL RC and Education

At WPL RC, we’re proud to see our models being used in classrooms and clubs around the world, not only as a source of entertainment but also as a tool for hands-on learning. Supporting the next generation of engineers, designers, and makers aligns with our mission to bring realism, creativity, and technical curiosity into the RC community.

A big thank you to Horndean Technology College for letting us be part of their journey. We look forward to seeing how their RC club continues to grow and inspire students in the years ahead!
